My Art

I work with combining watercolors, gouache, and acrylics to create a vibrant pop-art, illustrative style that celebrates the strength and complexity of contemporary Indigenous culture. Rooted in Indigenous and pop culture references, my work aims to uplift and represent urban Native American identity. An identity shaped by forced migration, adaptation, contradiction, humor, and resilience. I explore the complexities of Native American identity challenging narrow narratives of an “authentic”, “pure”, or "traditional" Native American. Native America is built on the lived experiences of our peoples, our personal histories, and our evolving relationships with our culture in a world designed to control and define us.

Armed with a Master's in Human Rights, I approach visual storytelling with a commitment to dialogue and accessibility. I invite viewers to consider identity as fluid, personal, dense and powerfully self-defined. I strive to create space for Indigenous narratives.
